About Antz Pantz Dance
At Antz Pantz, we are passionate about growing and nurturing children's love for dance and performance. Music makes children move freely and naturally. At Antz Pantz we let children explore this expression with no pressure or boundaries. Through dance we build children's self confidence and bring out genuine smiles and happiness - a joy to watch! We pride ourself in using current, popular music and themes to keep children engaged. The casual, fun nature of classes makes sure more children have the opportunity to take part without feeling the pressure of commitment. Classes are full of energy from start to finish and run by Tanya Perera, who has a wealth of experience in teaching and performing and genuine love for children!
Ages 2 - 3.5
This class is all about giving your child the opportunity to express their love for music and dancing in a creative, nurturing and casual environment.
The classes are high energy, with non-stop music from start to finish to keep children engaged.
Classes are run in a casual and fun way, to create a 'stress free' experience! If your child loves music and dancing - this is the class for you!
Ages 3.5 - 5
Children of this age love dancing to the music they hear on the radio. In this class we create dance routines to popular songs that your little one can take with them and use outside the classroom!
Children of this age also have a large imagination, so we build our dance routines around current and up to date themes to keep the children engaged.
There is a voluntary performance element to this class, where your child may take part in various local performances throughout the year and have the opportunity to perform in our end of year dance concert. Regular attendance is required to be considered for these performances.
Ages 5 - 10
This class is a combination of broadway and commercial jazz and other common dance styles.
In this class, children will improve their fitness, flexibility, balance, co-ordination and rhythm while learning fun dance routines, making friends and being challenged at their own level.
At this level, children begin to learn technical dance routines and more intricate choreography. Popular music and current themes are used to keep the learning fun!
There is a voluntary competitive and performance element to this class, where your child will be considered for competitions or performances at various local events during the year.
Ages 5+
This class teaches the fundamental steps, rhythms and technique of ballroom and latin dances.
Your child will learn a Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Waltz, Evening 3 Step and much more!
Classes are more structured, to push your child to achieve his or her maximum potential as a dancer.
All students in this class will have the opportunity to enter competitions as a team or individually and do examinations.
Dance Teacher - Tanya Perera
Tanya is a mother of two and truly passionate about sharing her love for dance with children.
She started Antz Pantz Dance in 2015 to provide a way for mothers to introduce their children to music, movement and dance in an easy, relaxed environment. As a mother herself she understands how difficult it is to make term commitments with children under the age of 5, so she runs her classes for this age group on a casual basis. You can come along every week, once a month, or whenever suits you and your child. This is what sets her classes apart from other classes offered within this age group.
Tanya is a specialist Ballroom and Latin American dancer and choreographer. She trained in Australia then moved to London to pursue a career in dance. She has over 25 years of professional experience through competing, teaching, and performing. Tanya's career highlights are performing in the West End theatre production of ‘Dirty Dancing’, and being a professional dancer on the UK TV production of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
